Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub - American actor, comedian and activist After moving to America, she was born in Soviet Union to Jewish parents. Her first professional work was as a child actor. Her appearances as Lily Adams in AT&T TV commercials from 2013 to 2016 - and then since 2020 - has made her famous. Apart from commercial appearances, she also appeared as a regular on the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015). She also starred in a recurring role as a character in the NBC drama This Is Us (2016)-2017. After being cast in the TV pilot that was never aired for New Warriors, Vayntrub also voices Squirrel Girl in Marvel Rising. Vayntrub was born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR, and is Jewish. Her parents, who were both two years old, immigrated to America as refugees from antisemitism. They were settled in West Hollywood. Due to financial hardships in her family, she started acting in Mattel Barbie commercials when she was five years old. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School, however, she quit in her sophomore year. She obtained an GED and then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from University of California, San Diego. She was introduced to improv comedy through the Upright Citizens Brigade.
